There is only a handful of (HP & DEF-heavy) builds that survive long enough to get anywhere. Levelling up stats is randomized and best hope it includes VAMP, otherwise survivability is limited. Gold is plentiful but completely useless because there's nothing to buy. There is little player agency as progression is entirely linear and encountered randomized. There is no build variety or strategy apart from stacking HP and VAMP. The item drops are highly random, basically setting you up to die a hundred times before reasonable progress is possible. A poor man's roguelike that hides a dearth of generic content begind grindy and repetitive restarts.
