Beacon's Edge review

It copies the core concept of FaeDine's seminal classic Crank and layers pixel graphics and sounds on top. There's too much clicking required for the crank, just allow pressed-down or implement more engaging, skill-based motion like in the original Crank.
The tone is all over the place - bright cartoony visuals, yet an oppressive, spooky premise; despairing isolation in an unrelenting storm struggling for survival, yet a fully-stocked ship casually arrives every couple of minutes offering outrageously bad deals for resources.
There is a game-breaking bug when cancelling a task like training a fledgling, where afterwards the task is no longer available and progress is soft-locked.
